This qualification forms the knowledge component of the Intermediate Apprenticeship for Health and Social Care: Adult social care general pathway.
It’s aimed at those working in adult social care in England and aims to introduce knowledge around areas relating to adult social care. These areas include:
- Equality, diversity and inclusion
- Personal development
- Role of the social care worker
- Handling information
- Health and safety
- Duty of care
- Person centred approaches
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. HABC advises learners have a Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or both.
